OBOPS: Osun Strengthens Partnership With CBN, Amobyn Limited

Osun Commissioner for Agriculture and Food Security, Hon. Adedayo Adewole has disclosed that the State of Osun government would continue to strengthen its partnership with the Central Bank of Nigeria and AMOBYN Nigeria Ltd.
AMOBYN, being the largest producer of a day old chicks and the second largest producer of frozen chicken in Nigeria.
Hon. Adedayo dropped the hint at a meeting with the representatives of CBN and AMOBYN Nigeria limited held in his office in Osogbo.
According to him, the Osun Broiler Out-Grower program Scheme (OBOPS) which cuts across the three Senatorial Districts, has yielded positive results and contributed to the economic growth of the state, especially in terms of job creation.
The Commissioner explained that the first and second phases of OBOPS was a success and therefore seeks for further expansion of its phase ll which has only hundred farmers to capture, as the expansion will generate income for farmers, provide jobs for the youths and unemployed graduates in the state.
In his remarks, the representative of CBN, Pastor (Mrs) Adebayo stated that CBN is ready and willing to replicate the success recorded in the OBOPS in other States of the Federation.
Mrs. Adebayo further commended the State of Osun government for creating an enabling environment for farmers which has assisted OBOPS phase ll scheme to achieve huge success.
Earlier in his remarks, the group Managing Director of AMOBYN Nigeria Ltd, Dr Ayoola Oduntan, disclosed that the aim of the meeting is to understudy the Osun Broiler Out Grower program Scheme( OBOPS) phase ll in the state.
Dr Ayoola used the opportunity to highlight the vision of AMOBYN Nigeria Ltd which is to build a national platform for the production of a day old chicks and frozen chicken in Nigeria.
