Obj. Laments Inadequacy of Women in Power

Former President Chief Olusegun Obasanjo has lamented over  the inadequacy of women in power in both government and private establishment.
He made this known while playing host to  the first female Commandant of Civil Defence College of Security Management,Ogun State Command,Rachael Awonusi  at his Presidential Hilltop residence in Abeokuta.
His words ‘We have not get enough women in higher authority both in public and private sector, and this called for attention and consideration. We have gone past of relegating women to the background’.
Obasanjo,whose administration‎ assented to bill that make the corps an authentic security agency said,the establishment has been doing well since inception.
The ex-president said the uplifment of the first female boss of the corps in Ogun State should be seen as a source of encouragement for other women aspiring to the top.
Obasanjo also called on his guest,to  see her duties and roles as a responsibility that, should be well tackled,stressing that the popular saying that,’what men can do, women can do better’
He said he would continue to assist the Civil Defence Corps at all times, and encouraged the management not to hesitate to contact him, whenever his support is needed.
The guest,Rachael Awosusi earlier in her speech, said she came for the blessing of the former president, and to also tap from his knowledge of wisdom‎.
Awosusi said the college would continue to do its best, and would not dissapoint Obasanjo, as well as other stakeholders.
She also disclosed that, the Civil Defence College of Security Management has concluded arrangement that, the Security Resource Centre of the College was to be named after Obasanjo.
