NSCEA Commends Chris Oyakhilome and Christ Embassy Efforts on the Official launch of Parallex Bank in Nigeria
The Nigerian Supreme Council for Ecclesiastical Affairs (NSCEA) has commended Chris Oyakhilome and Christ Embassy efforts on the official launching of Parallex Bank in Nigeria. This was how the CHRIS OYAKHILOME FOUNDATION INTERNATIONAL (COFI) similarly commissioned a state-of-the-art Tuition Free SCHOOL & HEALTH CENTER last year at Demsa Community in Yola, North-East Nigeria.
Speaking on these developments, Bishop Funmilayo Adesanya-Davies, the Secretary General of the Elders’ Council of NSCEA, explains that, “this is not the first time Christian churches and ministries are working assiduously to combat the economic problems, illiteracy, backwardness, injustice, insecurity, health problems and hazardous situations, in order to promote unity, peace and progress, not only in Northern Nigeria but in the entire nation.”
The report of the good news came in, “that Loveworld Nation, also known as Christ Embassy, has officially launched its own commercial financial institution, called Parallex Bank, with a view to redefining customer experience through digital innovation. Checks on the bank’s website by our correspondent revealed that Parallex was formally a microfinance bank until the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, granted it license to go into full banking services.
‘The transition into a commercial bank was launched on Friday at its headquarters in Victoria Island, Lagos. Christ Embassy’s Parallex Bank Is different from Conventional Banks “Parallex Bank Limited was incorporated as a limited liability company on the 22nd day of May 2020, having successfully converted from Parallex Microfinance Bank (a National Microfinance Bank incorporated in 2008 as a Unit MFB) to a commercial bank duly licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria to carry out commercial banking services,” the bank stated on its website.
“Part of the special features of the bank includes “ FIVE (5) Free Interbank Transfer Daily” and “No Maintenance Fees on all accounts.” According to the bank, “it will be leveraging the best talents and technology to deliver unparalleled value to our stakeholders.” says, the CEO of Loveworld Nation, Dr. Pastor Adeolu Phillips, who is the Bank’s chairman. We say PRAISE YE THE LORD, HALLELUJAH!
This is why we are saying, and I always say that, “discriminating against Christians and eliminating names of Christians from appointments and governance of the nation, Nigeria by the Buhari APC led – government is completely unfair and unacceptable and must be stopped in this dispensation when individual Christians and Christian bodies are working frantically to stabilise and rescue the nation.” In her words, “One does not need to answer the name, ‘Mohammad’ or ‘Muhammadu’ to be a recognized Nigerian or to be reckoned with in Nigeria as if the nation is accountable to an Islamic agenda.” she asserts.
Bishop Adesanya-Davies added by placing a demand on the entire Christian body by stating that, “we at the NSCEA hereby seize this opportunity to encourage all other mega Ministries, denominations and Churches to further commence instituting of commercial Banks all over the country to support the Christians and Christian causes, such as the Christian Judicial Institution, Christian Ecclesiastical court of Justice and other NSCEA projects as well as support of Christians and others in IDP Camps in Northern Nigeria.
We also seize this opportunity to admonish the Body of Christ to continue to embrace peace, unity and progress in our Churches and Ministries. In addition, We as the representative s of Christ on earth each should remember that Judah was the tribe ordained for leadership by God. The Nation recognized the place of grace in human stewardship and submitted to it. Thus Daniel, Shedrack, Meshach and Abednego all seeds of Judah became representative of all Israel. And as such, we should teach political parties how to drown party interest for National interest. If all can see the indicators that will point us to the best, drawn in view of our contending national challenges with considerations given to leaders from other faith. The church should provide the best template for productive leadership evolution in Nigeria!
Our path as a nation will remain darkened until God’s light shines upon it. Are we truly the light of the world? Now is time to shine the light and lead the nation out of gross darkness. Always remember that we are the light of the world, as the Scripture says, “Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. (Matthew 5:14-16). We must shine to the world, that others may know, and accept the Lord Jesus Christ and glorify our Father who art in heaven.
The Chris Oyakhilome Foundation International and Christ Embassy/ Loveworld Nation has always been dedicated to providing initiatives – focusing on healthcare, early childhood education and development, youth leadership development and engagement; and family strengthening and livelihood supported by its partners; and NSCEA hereby says – A BIG CONGRATULATION! THANK YOU! And GOD BLESS YOU!
