NSCDC TASK TRADITIONAL RULERS ON SECURITY SURVEILANCE
Traditional rulers in Nigeria have been enjoined to step up security surveilance in their domains to ward off the trend of kidnappers and other anti-social crimes in the society.
The Commandant of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corp, Ogun State, Mrs Racheal Awosusi,gave the task when Towulade Akinale in Egbaland,Oba Olufemi Ogunleye paid a courtesy call to her..
The Commandant and Provost of NSCDC, commended the traditional ruler for his support by granting an outpost for the Civil Defence corp in his community.
She noted that the security challenges in Nigeria today were common responsibilities of all and sundry,urging
traditional rulers in the country to evolve a more proactive mechanism to monitor activities in their neighbourhood to prevent people of dark characters to invade their domain
Earlier, Oba Ogunleye had commended the NSCDC for their regular intervention to suppress potential security threats in our society.
