NNPC Marks Breast Cancer Awareness Month with Pink Day in Abuja
The Executive Vice President, Business Services, NNPC Limited, Sophia Mbakwe, and the Chief Operating Officer, Health Services, NNPC Medical Services Limited (NMSL), Dr. Dickson Bada, on Friday, 23rd October 2026, joined staff in Abuja to mark Pink Day, an observance jointly organised by NNPC Medical Services Limited (NMSL) and Women in NNPC (WIN) in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Staff in Abuja and across all locations of the company wore pink and exchanged pink gifts with colleagues under the #PassThePink campaign to encourage open conversation about breast health, regular checks and early detection of a disease that affects millions of people around the world and were urged to visit any NMSL hospital for a clinical breast examination.

The activities will continue on Tuesday, 27 October 2026, with a virtual knowledge-sharing session titled “Beyond Awareness: Taking Action Against Breast Cancer”, facilitated by Dr Oizza Tessy Ahmadu, a Consultant Clinical Oncologist and Nuclear Medicine Physician, covering the signs and symptoms of breast cancer, early detection, treatment options and sources of medical care and support.
