NIPRID reels out achievements of 2019

The National Institute For Pharmaceutical Research and Development NIPRID has released a number of innovative projects and activities of 2019.
The Director General and Chief Executive Officer NIPRID Dr Obi Peter Adigwe made this known recently in a press conference in Abuja.
Dr Adigwe reiterated on the achievements of the institute to help improve President Mohammed Buhari’s vision in improving access to Health care to all Nigerians and improving socio economic development process for the benefit of Government and it’s citizenry.
According to Adigwe NIPRID has successfully renewed ISO  accreditation with a successful transition from ISO:17025:2015 to ISO:1725:2017.  He said what this qualification means is that the relevant tests that comes out of NIPRID are of the highest international values .
Another achievement recorded by the institute is the Accreditation by the regulatory Agency in-charge of training pharmacists. He explained that this accreditation helps to ensure that pharmacists who are trained abroad are recertified to practice in Nigeria. This has helped to reverse the issue of brain drain.
Furthermore as part of NIPRID activities of 2019,a contextual processing protocol development. has been put in place to enable people living in the hinterland be able to harness the natural resources in their environment using process es and research that had been developed by NIPRID to bring about development to the rural areas . According to. Adigwe 10 states Governor’s have been engaged  and NIPRID is currently working with the government of Katsina state.
Also the NIPRID Aflatoxin Infestation control strategy for health improvement as well as catalyst for local production of ready to use Therapeutic foods RUTFS and export of Nigerian products.
NIPRID s collaboration with traditional and alternative medicine in collaboration with the Federal ministry of Health , through basic trainings and on what point to send patients to the hospital.
