NIPR Appoints Kaduna Electric’s Spokesman Into College of Fellows Committee

The Governing Council of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) has appointed Kaduna Electric’s Head of Corporate Communication, Abdulazeez Abdullahi fnipr, into its College of Fellows Committee.

Abdulazeez’s appointment was contained in a letter dated October 16, 2023 and signed by NiPR’s President and Chairman of Council, Dr. Ike Neliaku, fnipr.

The newly formed committee has the Distinguished Sofiri Bobo Brown fnipr, as Chairman while Brig.Gen. Sani Kukasheka Usman (rtd) fnipr, is the Vice Chairman. Dr. Comfort Ukwela fnipr is to serve as Secretary.

Among the committee’s terms of reference are to design and introduce special Fellowship Programmes to give deeper meaning, stronger recognition and relevant visibility to Fellows of the Institute. Liaise with the Membership Services Committee to ensure the provision of innovative and efficient services to NIPR Fellows in such a way as to improve the satisfaction, loyalty, and welfare of Fellows.

It is also to liaise with chapters to monitor the performance of new Fellows during their period of probation as stipulated by NIPR Bye-Law No.4 and make necessary
recommendations to the Council with respect to the status of such new Fellows. Plan and organise an annual NIPR FELLOWS CONCLAVE and other Fellows networking events as approved by the Council from time to time to enhance the dignity, prestige and regular interaction of NIPR Fellows.

Other members of the College of Fellows Committee include the immediate past President of the Institute, Malam Mukhtar Sirajo fnipr, former president, Rotimi Oladele fnipr, the president of the African Public Relations Association, Chief Yomi Badejo Okusaga fnipr, and Mrs Nkechi Ali-Balogun among other distinguished Fellows of the Institute.
