Nigeria Turkish College Kidnappers Yet To Ask For Ransom-Police

The Nigeria Police on Tuesday debunked rumoured ransom demand from the kidnappers who abducted five students and three staffers of Nigeria-Turkish International School,located in Isheri area of Ogun State.
It would be recalled that,the victims were forcefully taken away at gun point from the school female hostel eleven days ago, and no clue yet about their whereabout.
However, Assistant Inspector General of Police AIG, Zone 2, Kayode Aderanti,while speaking with journalists after a courtesy call on former President Olusegun Obasanjo in his Presidential Hilltop residence in Abeokuta, said the abductors had not contacted anybody for ransom as being speculated.
Aderanti,however, assured the safe rescue of the victims in no distance time,adding that the police in the zone are closing up with the abductors with tactical strategies.
The police boss emphasised that a special detachment of policemen from the Zone is working hard to ensure the safe rescue of the abductees very soon.
The AIG, later visited the Ogun State Police Command Headquarters, Abeokuta,where he addressed the rank and file.He promised to organize regular training exercise for officers in the zone which according to him would further enhance standard, and professionalism.
He was also with Paramount ruler of Egbaland, Adedotun Gbadebo, where he gave assurance and police readiness in the zone to fight crimes to stand-still in communities under his watch.
