Nigeria DisCos receive 3,756MW power supply nationwide
Electricity Distribution Companies (DisCos) across Nigeria received a total load allocation of 3,756 megawatts (MW) as of 8:32 a.m. on January 8, 2026, according to the latest industry data.
The breakdown of the load distribution shows that Abuja Electricity Distribution Company received the highest allocation with 575MW, followed closely by Ikeja DisCo with 568MW. Eko DisCo recorded 483MW, while Ibadan DisCo was allocated 450MW.
Further allocations indicate that Benin DisCo received 306MW, Enugu DisCo got 292MW, and Port Harcourt DisCo was allocated 266MW. In the northern region, Kano DisCo received 252MW, Kaduna DisCo got 243MW, and Jos DisCo recorded 212MW.
Yola DisCo received the lowest allocation at 109MW.
Industry analysts note that the total allocation reflects ongoing efforts to stabilize power supply nationwide, despite persistent challenges in generation capacity, gas supply constraints, and transmission limitations.
The load allocation is expected to fluctuate throughout the day, depending on grid conditions, generation availability, and system stability across the national grid.
