Nigeria at 59: Ogun NUJ organises public lecture on Thursday

As part of activities to celebrate Nigeria at 59th Independence Day anniversary, the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Ogun State Council is organising a public lecture to mark the event.
This was contained in statement signed by Chairman, Caretaker Committee of the Union, Comrade Kayode Taiwo, and made available to newsmen on Monday.
Comrade Taiwo stated that the lecture series themed ‘Nigeria at 59: Dynamics of Nigeria’s Democracy’ has been slated to hold at the NUJ Secretariat, Iwe-Iroyin, Abeokuta, Ogun State capital on Thursday, October 3rd, 2019 by 11:00am.
Also, he stressed that the anniversary lecture will be delivered by the State Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Ahmed Abodunrin, while Dr. Samson Adeola Odedina, Rector, Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY), Ojere, Abeokuta is the chairman of the occasion.
“Top government officials, veteran journalists, chief executives of media organizations and youths from various platforms are anticipated to be at the lecture on Thursday,” he said.
