Niger records third COVID-19 case

Niger has recorded its third COVID-19 case.

The patient is a man driving  past Minna to Kano.

This was disclosed by hospital services Dr Muhammad Makusidi on Friday.

According to Makusidi, the driver was apprehended for flouting the restriction of movement order and quarantined.

The Commissioner said his sample was taken to Abuja for test and returned positive.

He added that the patient would be moved immediately to the isolation centre at the Minna General Hospital for treatment.

The Commissioner noted the patient has had no contact in the state as he was only passing-by to his destination in Kano State.
