….Supports 260 Residents With Food Packages

NGURU, Yobe State — The NEAR Foundation has successfully concluded a humanitarian outreach in Nguru, Yobe State, combining cataract surgeries with food assistance for vulnerable residents.

As part of the initiative, 110 beneficiaries underwent successful cataract surgeries, giving them improved vision and a renewed opportunity to live more independently.

The foundation also extended its humanitarian support beyond healthcare, distributing meat packages to up to 200 individuals and food relief packages to more than 60 people in the community.

The intervention provided beneficiaries with medical care as well as essential food support, bringing relief and renewed hope to families and individuals in need.

The NEAR Foundation expressed appreciation to everyone who supported the mission through donations, prayers and other forms of assistance, noting that their contributions helped make the outreach possible.

The foundation said the successful completion of the programme reflects its commitment to improving lives through healthcare interventions and humanitarian support, particularly among vulnerable communities.

For the cataract beneficiaries, the surgeries offer the prospect of clearer vision and greater independence, while the food distributions provided immediate assistance to residents facing economic hardship.
