NDLEA Boss Marwa Urges Nigerians to Reject Drug Abuse in Easter Message
The Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, Mohammed Buba Marwa, has called on Nigerians to shun drug abuse and embrace a life of purpose, hope, and renewal as Christians celebrate Easter.
In his Easter message titled “He Conquered the Grave, You Can Conquer Addiction,” Marwa emphasized the significance of the season as a reminder that no situation is beyond redemption.
Referencing the resurrection of Jesus Christ, the NDLEA boss noted that just as Christ overcame death, individuals battling addiction also possess the strength to overcome destructive habits and rebuild their lives.
“This Easter reminds us that no situation is beyond redemption. Just as Christ overcame death and rose to new life, you too have the strength to rise above every habit that holds you back,” he said.
Marwa urged Nigerians, particularly young people, to reject illicit drugs and instead pursue a future defined by clarity, purpose, and hope.
“Say no to drugs. Say yes to a future filled with purpose, clarity and hope,” he added.
The message forms part of the agency’s ongoing advocacy efforts aimed at reducing drug abuse and promoting healthier lifestyles across the country.
