NAYF vow to expose NASS members who diverted constituency funds, urges Nigerians to vote out non-performing lawmakers

The National Assembly Youth Forum (NAYF) has called on Nigerians to vote out incompetent Senators and members of the House of Representatives in the upcoming election.
In a statement by its Public Relations Officer, Miss Precious Ononaku, the group observed that some members of the National Assembly, who were elected to represent their constituencies and attract development toward their various communities, have neglected their duties and are now rather playing politics in the FCT.
The Group also noted that funds earmarked for constituency projects were being diverted by some members of the National Assembly, thereby denying their constituencies the necessary infrastructures and developments approved by Government. This situation according to Onoaku is hampering developments in most communities and denying Nigerians the dividends of democracy.
The group advised members of the National Assembly to concentrate on their primary duty of representing their constituencies, and desist from playing “dirty” politics in the FCT. It therefore urged Nigerians to vote out members of the National Assembly who did not perform well during their tenure in office.
The Group stated that it was mobilizing its members from all Senatorial Districts and Federal Constituencies in Nigeria to start monitoring the activities of their respective representatives and evaluate them based on their performance.
It also vowed to expose members of the National Assembly who divert funds meant for constituency projects and also asked Nigerians to hold their representatives accountable for the lack of development and social amenities in their respective communities.
In conclusion, the Group stated that it had no issue with the Administration of President Mohammed Buhari, as it had considered and approved a lot of constituency projects in its budget estimates throughout its four years in office.
