Native doctor instructed me to kill and sleep with my mother corpse for money ritual- 18 year old boy confesses

An 18 year-old Akpobome Samuel has disclosed reason for killing his mother, Mrs. Gift Samuel, whom he slept with her corpse for money ritual purpose.

Akpobome, was paraded along with 84 suspects for various crimes ranging from cultism, kidnapping, rape, armed robbery, murder and burglary by Edo State Police Command, Benin City on Wednesday.

Akpobome, in his submission noted that he was only acting on the instructions of the native doctor whom he visited in Ologbo, Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area of the state for money making ritual.

He said: “The native doctor told me after killing my mother, that I should sleep with her corpse in order to get rich and I was willing to comply with his instruction and I did just as he said.”

Akpobome who works in a pure water factory in Ologbo said he was caught by his grandmother who came to knock at his door having waited patiently for her (the deceased) to accompanying her to somewhere.

The suspect, who said he had only slept with the corpse once said his grandmother raised the alarm that attracted the attention of the people around when she saw the lifeless body of his mother on the floor.

“The native doctor did not tell me the number of days to sleep with her. He told me to keep her dead body inside the room for two days but I was caught when I could no longer keep it.

“As I was about coming out, I did not know that my grandmother was sitting outside. When I opened the door, my grandmother sighted the corpse inside the room and raised the alarm that drew the attention of the public. My mother did not offend me. I killed her because of the money,” he said.
