National Assembly names Giwa as new Reps Ag. Clerk
The Management of the National Assembly on Monday named Mr Patrick A Giwavas the new Acting Clerk of the House of Representatives .
This was contained in a circular signed by the Clerk to the National Assembly, Mr Sanni Omolori and dated December 3rd 2018 and copied all the Principal officers of the National Assembly , the Law makers in the both Chambers and other agencies among others
The memo stated that consequence upon the retirement of the clerk of the House of Representatives on 25th of November, 2018, a vacancy has occurred in that post. Accordingly Mr Patrick A Giwa, the Deputy Clerk (Legislative) House of Representatives who is the most senior officer has been directed to resume as the Acting Clerk of the House Representatives.
The appointment is with effect from 25th of November 2018.
Until his appointment, he was the Clerk, Public Account Committee, Director (Clerk of
Committees). Director Chamber Services and Deputy Clerk House of Representatives.
