NASFAT women donate 30-bed healthcare center to Fountain University

In a heartwarming act of service, NASFAT Women, a remarkable women arm of the Nasrul-Lahi-L-Fatih Society, delivered a transformative gift to Fountain University, Osogbo—a 30-bed healthcare center. This donation underscores the organization’s commitment to enhancing the well-being of the university community and beyond, emphasizing the critical link between health and education.
The commissioning ceremony was a testament to the spirit of community and care. Fountain University’s Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Olayinka Ramota Karim, spoke passionately about the impact this state-of-the-art facility would have on the lives of students, staff, and residents of Osogbo. “This healthcare center is not just a building,” she said. “It’s a symbol of hope and dedication from NASFAT Women.”
For many students like Adetola, a second-year student, the new center represents security and care. “Before now, we had to travel far for proper medical attention,” she shared with a smile. “Now, we have everything we need right here on campus.”
NASFAT President, Alhaji Ayodeji AbdulWahid AbdulRauf, applauded the women for their tireless efforts in bringing this project to life. He emphasized that NASFAT’s vision has always been centered on uplifting communities through education, healthcare, and empowerment initiatives. This healthcare center, he noted, is a testament to their relentless commitment to service.
Chairman of the event, the Ataoja of Osogbo, Oba Jimoh Oyetunji, praised the efforts of NASFAT Women, calling the project a “gift to humanity.” He highlighted that the center would be a critical resource not only for the university but for the surrounding community, making healthcare more accessible.
The emotional peak of the event came when Alhaja Suwebat Bola Aduke Kupolati, the initiator of the project and immediate past National Women Affairs Secretary, was honored for her vision. Her leadership was pivotal in realizing this dream, and many attendees were moved by her dedication to the cause.
This new healthcare facility is fully equipped to handle a wide range of medical needs and is expected to play a vital role in fostering a healthier university environment. It symbolizes NASFAT Women’s enduring legacy of care and compassion.
