Nabasu hails Presidential Amnesty Programme for restoring peace in NigerDelta

The National Board for Technology Incubation (NBTI) an Agency of the Federal Ministry of Science and Technology has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Office of the Coordinator Presidential Amnesty Programme on the Niger Delta Region to improve the security of the region.
At the Signing ceremony on Tuesday in Abuja, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry Mr. Bitrus Bako Nabasu said that the partnership of the two performing Agencies (NBTI) and the Presidential Amnesty Programm would add value to the beneficiaries of the Niger-Delta Amnesty Prgramme.
The partnership is expected to train and Empower Amnesty Delegates on Food and Cosmetic products and register the products with the National Agency for Food and Drugs Administration and control (NAFDAC).
Dr. Nabasu said the National Board for Technology (NBTI) had produced trainees who became employers of Labour. Nabasu also commended the Presidential Amnesty Programme for restoring peace in the Niger Delta region, adding that the present peace being enjoyed in the region was due to the prgramme.
In his remarks, Dr. Monica Alabraba, Senior Special Assistant, who represented the Special Adviser/Coordinator Presidential Amnesty programme commended the National Board for Technology Incubation (NBTI) for making its incubation centers available for the beneficiaries of the Amnesty programme.
Dr Alabraba added that this will go a long way of improving their expertise in their various areas of specialization. He further said that the legal department of both organizations together with National Board for Food and Drugs Administration and Control (NAFDAC) had worked hard to come up with the MoU that will be of great benefits to all Amnesty beneficiaries.
Earlier, the Director-General of (NBTI) Dr. Mohammed Jubril said that the Community Incubation programme is aim at impacting knowledge of the technologies based on the raw materials available within the domain of the beneficiaries.
