‘My Campaign Promises are Sacrosanct, I Shall Religiously’ fulfill them. – Rep. O. K. Chinda

Rep. O.K. Chinda who was re-elected to represent Obio/Akpor Federal Constituency of Rivers State has assured his constituents that his electioneering campaign promises as encapsulated in his “Social Contract” with tge peole are sacrosanct and ‘he shall keep to them religiously’.
Rep. Chinda who gave the assurance monday morning in his appreciation and thank you message said his re-election into National Assembly will afford him the opportunity to serve his people once again at the green chambers.
“You will recall that I ran the recently conducted National Assembly elections held on 23/02/19 under the big and indefatigable umbrella of the PDP. The result of that election as already declared by INEC, affords me an opportunity to serve you once again at the ‘green chambers’ of the National Assembly.
“I am not unaware that in the months and weeks preceding the elections, you all worked selflessly and assiduously to sensitize and garner support for me which ensured our ultimate victory at the polls.
“One pertinent fact to note is that, this victory is pan- party, pan-tribe and pan-religion as our support cut across political parties, tribe or religion. It is a victory for the entire people and residents of Obio/Akpor.
In this regard, I wish to very sincerely express my gratitude and warmest appreciation, first, to God Almighty, and then to you all for the encouragement, solidarity and massive support shown prior to and during the said elections. I am most grateful to all those who came out to vote for me. I equally appreciate those who worked and voted against me because you added flavour and competitiveness to the exercise and made me sit up and work extra hard.
I equally admire the fighting spirit of the candidates of the other political parties and hereby extend my very warm hands of fellowship to you all and welcome you on board.
I assure our people of my service and loyalty to you and that your interest shall be total and devoid of all the biases of Political party leanings, tribe or religion.
I look forward to your criticisms and positive contributions aimed at promoting the development and well being of our dear Obio/Akpor people and Rivers State in general.
I am indeed most grateful to everyone and truly humbled by your hard-work, commitment, selflessness, perseverance and prayers while campaigns and preparations for the elections lasted.
I am greatly humbled and I commend your efforts and the confidence you have all reposed in me to represent you once again as your ‘servant’ and mouthpiece at the National Assembly.
I assure you once more that my electioneering campaign promises as encapsulated in my “Social Contract” with you are sacrosanct and I shall keep to them religiously.
As always, I promise to serve you all with the fear of and reverence for God and love for the people as well as work for the promotion of democracy and the overall good of our people, Rivers State and the society at large.
May I also add that the elections having been won by ‘us’, much work still lies ahead. In this regard, I urge us all to continue to join hands with me to ensure our overall success in the task ahead.
Because ‘I won, you all have also won’. I therefore promise and shall strive to be open and transparent and to ensure that you all enjoy the fruit of ‘our’ victory. I shall run an all inclusive representation and strive to teach our people ‘how to fish, rather than give them fish’.
As a show of our gratitude to God and to you, we shall immediately do the following:
1. Run a one month “thank you free bus shuttle service” from Rumuokwurisi interchange to Isaac Boro Park, commencing after the Governorship elections.
2. Run A free advanced JAMB preparatory class for our students.
3. Donate two (2) water bore holes to Eneka Communities, where I witnessed my constituents still relying on well-water for sustenance.
4. Resuscitate the Ozuoba solar borehole.
Once again, accept my sincere gratitude for your solidarity and massive support and may God bless us all.
