Mock Marriage: Principal Removed

Bauchi state government has ordered the immediate removal of Sa’adu Zungur Model School principal following the receipt of committees report on alleged ‘Mock Marriage’ among students of the school.

The state commissioner of education and deputy governor, Engineer Nuhu Gidado gave the order in a statement signed by his Special Assistant on Communications, Yakubu Adamu.

“The principal, Vice Principal I, Vice Principal II and Discipline Master have been withdrawn from the school and are to report to the Ministry of Education Headquarters and new postings have also been approved with immediate effect,” the statement disclosed.

The deputy governor also ordered the revocation of operating licences of two private schools over indecent conduct by their students.

The statement said that, Musa Mudi Jahun from GTC Gumau is to take over as Principal of GCDSS Sa’adu Zungur, Ubayo Moh’d B/Gana from GDSS Games Village, Bauchi is to take over as Vice Principal Admin While Fati Isma’il from GCC Bauchi is to take over as Vice Principal Academic and that further reorganization and postings will also follow.

Seven out of the eight students who were the principal actors have also been expelled with the exception of the innocent girl who resisted the overture according to the statement.
