Medical Director of Meye Hospital Dies After Collapsing During Surgery in Abuja

Tragedy struck the medical community in the Federal Capital Territory on Tuesday evening as the Medical Director of Meye Hospital and Chief Surgeon at Nyanyan General Hospital, identified simply as Dr. John, passed away after collapsing while on duty.

According to sources, the doctor had reportedly performed six surgical procedures earlier in the day. He was said to have collapsed during the sixth operation at his private facility in Kurudu.

He was immediately rushed to Nyanyan General Hospital, where he was later confirmed dead by colleagues.

The incident has thrown staff and patients at Nyanyan General Hospital into deep mourning, with many describing the late doctor as a dedicated and hardworking professional who gave his all to saving lives.
