Maulud Nabiyy 2026: CAIDOV Urges Peaceful Coexistence Among All Faiths

The Centre Against Injustice and Domestic Violence (CAIDOV) has called on Nigerians of all faiths to embrace peace, love, tolerance and peaceful coexistence as Muslims across the country celebrate Maulud Nabiyy 2026.

The organisation said the birth and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) embody compassion, unity and respect for humanity—values it described as particularly important to Nigeria at this time.

In a statement on Tuesday signed by its Executive Director, Gbenga Soloki, CAIDOV urged Muslims and Christians to live together in peace and harmony, stressing that a peaceful environment is essential for national prosperity.

“As we celebrate Maulud Nabiyy 2026, we call on all Nigerians, Muslims and Christians alike, to live together in peace and harmony. A peaceful Nigeria will guarantee prosperity for all. Let this season remind us that we are stronger together,” the organisation said.

CAIDOV appealed to Nigerians to shun violence, religious intolerance and other acts capable of causing division and undermining national unity.
The organisation also urged religious leaders to use their platforms to promote peace, forgiveness, tolerance and mutual understanding among their followers.

It called on government and security agencies to ensure the safety of lives and property throughout the celebrations, while urging youths to reject hate speech and become ambassadors of peace in their communities.

CAIDOV reaffirmed its commitment to promoting human rights, justice and non-violence across Nigeria.

It wished Nigerians a peaceful Maulud celebration, saying: “May the spirit of Maulud Nabiyy bring peace to every home and nation.”
