Mark consoles Wike over death of Media Aide
Former President of the Senate, Senator David Mark has commiserated with the Government and people of Rivers State over the sudden death of the Special Adviser on Media to Governor Nyesom Wike, Mr. Simeon Nwakaudu.
Senator Mark in a condolence message to Wike and the bereaved family said, the news of the death of Nwakaudu was a rude shock to him.
He noted that late Nwakaudu was a vibrant Journalist and noble media manager who put the interest and wellbeing of the nation above anything else.
Senator Mark said he knew Nwakaudu over 20 years ago when the latter served as the Correspondent of the Guardian Newspapers in Benue State pointing out that he distinguished himself as a responsible, diligent and patriotic Journalist.
He noted “Nwakaudu was one Journalist I respected his views because he never compromised fairness, balance and objectivity in his editorial judgments.
“It is heart rending that he departed at this time. He was a good man and a friend indeed. His death is a personal loss to me”.
Senator Mark however counseled Wike and the immediate family of the deceased to take solace in the fact that Nwakaudu lived an exemplary life worthy of emulation and left his indelible footprint in the sand of time.
He prayed that Almighty God grants the deceased eternal rest and the bereaved the fortitude to bear the loss.
