MAPOLY Wins ITF Best Participating Institutions Award For The Second Time

Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY), Abeokuta has bagged the “Best Participating Institution in SIWES Activities in 2018 Training Year” award.
With this award, this is the second time MAPOLY is receiving the award having been awarded the Best Performing Institution in SIWES Operations in 2006 at the 10th Biennial National Conference held in Lokoja, Kogi State capital.
According to the Yemi Ajibola, Head, Public Relations and Protocol of MAPOLY, he hinted that the award was received from Industrial Training Fund (ITF), Abeokuta Area Office, in recognition of the institution participation in the Students Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES).
He said: This is the second time MAPOLY is receiving the award. The Institution currently has twenty-one SIWES participating Departments from about eleven at inception
“The award was presented to the Polytechnic at this year’s ITF Interactive Forum held in Abeokuta where the Deputy Governor of Ogun State, Engr. (Mrs.) Noimot Salako, presented a keynote address on “Vocational Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development: A Solution to secured and sustainable future.
“The award was later presented to the Polytechnic by the Director of SIWES, Dr. (Mrs.) Yetunde Lanre-Iyanda at the institution academic board meeting.
“The award is dedicated to the Governor of Ogun State, His Excellency Prince Dapo Abiodun (MFR), for returning MAPOLY to the business of learning, teaching and service.”
