LOCAL VIGILANTE ARRESTS RITUALISTS, RECOVERS CORPSE OF VICTIM

Ogun State Chapter of Vigilante Group of Nigeria, (VGN),said it has recovered the corpse of a 17 year old girl and arrested two suspected ritualists allegedly involved in the crime.
The  Public Relations Officer of the group, Omotolani Adebodun made this known,stating that the victim ‎was killed for alleged money-making rituals in Idosemo, Ipokia Local Government Area of Ogun State.
 She said the suspected criminals which include; Yewanu Tailoju and Asamo Soji, dumped the body of the girl , Taye Gusau, in a well, on an undeveloped plot of land at Igude, after her head had been severed.
“The victim, Taye Gusau who was hawking puff-puff after returning from school in the evening of her adoption, was accosted by the two criminals, who lured her into the bush and murdered her”,she said.
Adebodun said,after four days the parents of the girl did not see her,reported to the local vigilante body,which prompted intensive search and investigation.
 “Four days ago, the parents of the girl, when they did not see their child return, reported to the VGN, who swung into action, leading to the arrest of 35 year old, Yewenu Tailoju”,the spokesperson said.
“It was Tailoju that named his partner Asamo Soji who is now in police net and confessed to killing the young girl for money rituals”,she said.
“He later took officers of the VGN to where her corpse was dumped after severing her head and hands, while her intestines were also removed”,she added.
However, Commandant of the VGN, Olanrewaju Adedoyin advised members of the public to always avail the group with information.
She said the VGN was poised to taking community policing to a level that would reduce crime in our society.
She said the case would be properly handed over to the Nigerian Police for further investigations and prosecution.
