In the second conversation, the voice allegedly ascribed to Dino Melaye told Chief Judge Ikpeme that he had spoken to the State’s Permanent Secretary of Health on Ikpeme Daughter’s behalf and assured her that she had gotten the job
However Dino told her that recruitment would start in March of an undisclosed year, and suggested that the young lady in question could resume work immediately while she waits for the official recruitment.
Dino said he would make this possible by giving her a note which she should present to the Permanent Secretary.
According to Sahara Reporters, these conversations were made prior to Kogi State Electoral Tribunal ruling in 2017, in which the Chief Judge allegedly subverted justice in favour of Dino Melaye.
News of this bribery scandal was first released in 2017 when the then High Court judge allegedly confessed to collecting bribe from Dino Melaye.
But insufficient evidence had kept the case pending till now.
