Kaduna Outage Update: Work Still Ongoing to Amend Tripped 330kV Line – Kaduna Electric

We wish to inform our esteemed customers that the TCN team are still working to correct the tripping on the Ugwuaji–Makurdi 330kV Line 2 which is one of the reasons for the prolonged outage in Kaduna. The tripped line has been the back up source of bulk power supply to Kaduna after vandals damaged towers of the 330kV Shiroro-Mando transmission line.

A joint comprehensive tower to tower patrol on the Ugwuaji – Makurdi line is expected to resume this morning to find and amend the tripping. Power supply shall be restored as soon as the line is restored back to circuit.

We once again apologise for the inconvenience being suffered.
