Kaduna LG polls: Jere Area Commander accused of shot-changing policemen drafted from FCT
The Area Commander of the Nigerian Police Force, Jere in Kaduna state have been accused of short-changing the police officers that was drafted from FCT to the area during last Saturday’s local government elections in the state.
Sources close to the command, informed Daily Dispatch that police officers drafted from FCT to the area during the last elections in the state were given two thousand (N2, 000) only as against twenty-five thousand naira (N25, 000) approved for them.
According to our sources, policemen from Kaduna were paid N25, 000, while those from Abuja paid paltery N2, 000.
“This is a very bad situation. These are people that left their families and loved ones to work in a very volatile area. they risked their lives yet they were treated like slaves, likes beggars.
Some of those who spoke under anonymity, pleaded with the FCT Commissioner of Police and IGP Usman to investigate the matter.
