Just In: Popular Pastor arrested for brandishing gun

Pastor Paul Adefarasin is currently in police custody following the circulation of a viral video in which he was seen brandishing a gun-like object in an apparent attempt to intimidate a content creator.

The Lagos State Police Command confirmed his voluntary surrender in a statement posted on its official X handle on Tuesday, June 17.

Reiterating that “no one is above the law,” the police disclosed that detectives have launched an investigation into the incident.

According to the statement, Pastor Adefarasin reported to the Lagos State Police Command Headquarters in Ikeja, where he is being questioned. The probe was triggered by the viral footage showing the pastor pointing what appeared to be a weapon at another road user while driving an unregistered vehicle.
