Just In: PDP Postpones Ekiti Congress, Governorship Primaries

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has written to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC to announce the postponement of its congress and governorship primaries in Ekiti State.

In a letter addressed to the INEC Chairman on Thursday by the party’s National Chairman, Alhaji Abdurrahman Muhammed and Publicity Secretary, Senator Samuel Anyanwu the PDP said the decision was due to logistics reasons, constraining the exercise.

According to the letter a new dates for the exercise, will be formally communicated when decided.

Party officials assured members and aspirants that the rescheduling was in the best interest of internal democracy and aimed at strengthening unity within the Ekiti chapter.
