Just In: INEC uploads over 88% of #AnambraElection2025 governorship results on IReV
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has uploaded more than 88% of the results from the Anambra governorship election to its Result Viewing Portal (IReV).
According to INEC’s portal, 5,044 out of 5,720 polling units representing 88.18% have been uploaded across the state, as at the time of filling this report.
Sixteen candidates are contesting for the governorship, including the incumbent, Prof. Charles Soludo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), who is seeking re-election. Polling stations across Anambra’s 21 local government areas opened at 8:30 a.m. and closed by 2:30 p.m.
Ahead of the election, INEC reported that 2,769,137 of the 2,802,790 registered voters (98.8%) collected their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), a milestone described by INEC Chairman Prof. Joash Amupitan as “a significant achievement” for any Nigerian election. Blueprint
