Jonathan’s community Leaders endorse Tinubu for second term
Leaders of Ogbia Kingdom, drawn from Bayelsa and Rivers states, have thrown their weight behind President Bola Tinubu, urging him to seek re-election in the 2027 presidential election and pledging their full support.
The endorsement was made on Wednesday during a courtesy visit to President Tinubu at the State House, Abuja, by a delegation of traditional rulers and community leaders from the kingdom.
Speaking on behalf of the delegation, a traditional ruler, Collins Daniel, said the people of Ogbia Kingdom were impressed by the president’s leadership and commitment to national development, adding that they were ready to stand firmly behind his administration.
Daniel described Tinubu’s efforts as critical to building a stronger and more united Nigeria, assuring the president of the kingdom’s “unalloyed support” ahead of the next general election.
He noted that the visit was also to reaffirm the community’s readiness to collaborate with the federal government in advancing peace, stability and development across the Niger Delta and the country at large.
President Tinubu, in his response, appreciated the visit and the show of support, reiterating his administration’s commitment to inclusive governance and sustainable development for all regions of the country.
