Jonathan, Obi engage in private meeting focused on national concerns
On Thursday, former President Goodluck Jonathan held a private meeting in Abuja with Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate in the 2023 elections.
The meeting, conducted behind closed doors, focused on matters of national importance.
Peter Obi later confirmed the engagement via a post on his official X handle, referring to Jonathan as a “dear elder brother, statesman, and leader.”
According to Obi, their conversation revolved around pressing national issues and the current state of the country.
“Today in Abuja, I met with my very dear elder brother, statesman, and leader, former President Goodluck Jonathan.
We had a fruitful closed-door meeting and discussed the state of our dear nation,” he wrote.
However, specific details of their discussions were not disclosed.
