Israel – Nigeria’s strength lies in its population not oil

The current Deputy Chief of Mission at the Embassy of Isreal in Nigeria Mr. Nadav Goren has said the strength of Nigeria as a nation lies in its population.
“Nigeria’s resource isn’t oil but the people which in turn would head to having a better ride to the future. In Nigeria now, you find youths that want to move the country forward with their beautiful innovations “.
Goren made this statement during a Journalists roundtable/ farewell and introduction meeting in the Isreal Embassy on Monday, in Abuja.
Further, the outgoing Deputy Chief of Mission said Nigerians are a people beyond their warmth and diversity. Adding that, “the arrival of the incoming Deputy Chief Mission would be an opportunity to move from the regular diplomacy to reaching out to the Nigerian public ans encourage diversification”.
He disclosed that the embassy is currently running an online Bible quiz around the 36states in the country to test the bible knowledge of students in Nigeria and to help me gain more knowledge.
“We are in collaboration with the Ministry of Education in Isreal and an Organisation of Christians for Isreal. It will run through the six regions including the federal capital territory making seven.
The top three people would be graced by the Isreali Prime Minister and they will be given the opportunity to go to Isreal.
Earlier, the Isreali Ambassador to Nigeria Mr. Shimon Ben-shoshan said the desire of the embassy is to bring the culture of the Nigerian people and the Israelis closer while they are also in agreement with Nafdac to establish a pharmaceutical company that would have boost the economy and create jobs.
“We are working towards encouraging peace and also how to tackle challenges by maintaining the power of the region to remain economically and politically strong because its the only option left for us.
“Our desire is to see that the Nigerian government work in unity alongside the Isreali country. We have been involved in the infrastructure with the country for a long time. For instance we recently signed an MoU with NAFDAC to help the Isreali company to come in with pharmaceutical products not only to do business but to create jobs for Nigerians.”
Speaking, the incoming Deputy Chief of Mission Mr. Yotam Kreiman said he would work in line with the predecessor as soon as he assumes office to foster good relationship with the media and the Nigerian people.
