Is Sunusi’s dethronement a plot to make him president in 2023?

There is story going around that the dethronement of Mallam Sunusi Lamido Sunusi as the Empire of Kano is a plot by the North to make him president after President Buhari. In a country where a lot of people love to weave stories around conspiracy theory, this story is catching fire. 

Prior to the Mallam Sunusi Lamido Sunusi’s story, the biggest conspiracy story was that President Buhari was a cloned called Jubril from Sudan. Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, founder of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), started the story and his disciples and many others totally believed him.

In a country with high number of illiteracy, it doesn’t surprise me that people believe anything outrageous, but then people who are quite educated and some in the Diaspora believed Nnamdi Kanu that Buhari was a clone from Sudan. It took a very long time before they were convinced that Buhari is not a clone.

Now the conspiracy theorists are spreading the story that Sunusi Lamido Sunusi was dethrone because of 2023 Presidential election in which the Buhari’s administration plan to handover power again to a Fulani man.

This story is all over Abuja, the social media and around the country.

I don’t think the occupier of Aso Rock villa are intelligent enough to pull the Jubril of Sudan stunt, likewise I don’t think they have the brain to orchestrate a successful plot to dethrone an Emir so that they can make him president. I said that because the All Progressive Congress (APC) have quite a sizable number of people who are interested in Buhari’s job. They would start coming out when the time gets close.

Sunusi Lamido Sunusi doesn’t look like a man anyone can trust to handover the seat of the president to. The people in power right now would rather prefer someone like Buhari who would handover the country to them than to get Sunusi Lamido Sunusi, who cannot be controlled.

We overrate our incompetent leaders. All they care about is money and power. They don’t have the intellect to pull something like this through. If they can they would have organized the country.

They simply couldn’t change anything and cannot change much, that’s why we are where we are today as a country.

You can see how President Buhari is messing up the country. It is the lack of depth and lack of ideas. President Buhari and the people around him aren’t that sophisticated for this stunt.

I tell you there is no plot or conspiracy to make Sunusi Lamido Sunusi President.
