If you love Igbo people, visit Nnamdi Kanu in Prison – MASSOB tells Ohanaeze Ndigbo
The Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) has urged the Chief Nnia Nwodo-led Ohanaeze Ndigbo to pay a solidarity visit to Nnamdi Kanu and others in Kuje Prison, Abuja, if they really love Igbo people.
The group in a statement by its publicity secretary, Uchenna Madu, advised the leadership of Chief John Nnia-Nwodo and his executives to stop the unprofitable adventure of visiting Nigerian states seeking for a hand of fellowship,
He said: “What has been keeping the leadership of Ndi Eze in Igbo land from visiting Nnamdi Kanu in prison or his father, a fellow member of southeast traditional council?
“Why has Igbo National Assembly caucus never shown any sign of affection to the travails of Nnamdi Kanu and others?
“If truly the Ohanaeze Ndigbo leadership loves our people, knowing full well that ninety nine percent of Ndigbo prefers Biafra than staying in Nigeria, what has kept Chief Nnia Nwodo and his executive from visiting or showing solidarity to Nnamdi Kanu, the most loved Igboman today?
“John Nnia-Nwodo, as the Ohanaeze President general, you cannot be so busy traveling all over Nigeria seeking for a hand of fellowship for a better understanding and cohesion among Nigerian ethnic groups when you and your executive have not visited Mr. Kanu who has been languishing in Kuje prison.”
