In consonance with the peoples expectation over formation of the cabinet, Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has revealed that he will announce the names of the nominees very soon.

The meeting which had in attendance former governor, Chief Segun Osoba, ex deputy governors, state chairman of APC, national assembly and state assembly members, past and present members of the party and many others, just as it lasted till late in the evening
Prince Abiodun said: “We had the APC caucus meeting as defined by the constitution of the party. When you look through the constitution of the party, you will know what it means to hold a caucus meeting.

“The caucus is described as those who have been former governors, deputy governors, members of the national assembly and state assembly, principal officers of the party. Past and present that are members of the party. So those are the one we held the meeting with.
“The meeting purpose was to afford me the opportunity as governor of the state to brief the state caucus formally on our activities over the last three and half months. That was the first and primary purpose of this meeting.
“We have not violated as regards the constitution since I assumed office, and having done that I needed to also deliberate with the party members over certain issues. We appreciate the fact that the tenure of our local government council chairmen are up. I needed to inform the party officially on the need to begin to plan on those that will be seating on capacity as caretaker chairmen. And so on and so forth.
“While doing these issues, there are things in the mind of party leaders we ought to brought before and discussed them. Generally, it was an opportunity for leadership at the caucus meeting to ventilate, also as governor to pass information to them, and at the end of the day we had a very successful deliberations and meeting.
“Forming the cabinet was not on the table for discussion per say, it was part of what I informed the caucus about, that very soon our cabinet will be formed, and I shares with them the process that we will take and because as I have said that this government will be an inclusive and participatory.

“I called on them and share with them the process to coerce them and also contribute that nomination of candidates for our commissioners, so they were adequately informed that they will come by a week or so. You will get that list as soon as you get it.”
In another development, Chairman, APC in the state, Yemi Sanusi, in his response noted that the party has passed vote of confidence on the governor after the speech he briefed them on the activities of the party, adding that they were all satisfied.
“Though, after everybody looked at the speech we were satisfied and pass that vote on him, and also give him that mandate to carry on what he is doing now,” he explained.
