I will defend Ekiti with my last drop of blood – Senator Opeyemi Bamidele

Senator Representing Ekiti Central District, Senator Opeymi Bamidele has vowed that he will defend the rights of Ekiti people with his last drop of blood at the red chamber during his tenure.

Speaking at his inauguration dinner which took place at Merit House, Maitama, Abuja,  Senator Bamidele said those who want him dead last year by shooting him “made a great mistake.

“By the special Grace of God I will do everything possible to protect and work for the people of Ekiti and Nigeria in general.

“I have been a member of the House of Representatives and I know what act of legislating means. I promise to use my position to attract more developmental projects to Ekiti.

“With a dynamic governor like His Excellency, Kayode Fayemi at the helms of affairs in Ekiti, I will work assiduously with our governor to ensure that we bring back the lost glory of the state. I will for the rights of my senatorial district with the last drop of my blood”, he declared.

Speaking earlier, Chairman of the occasion and MOB campaign DG, Professor Afolayan Adio thanked God for keeping the senator alive after he was shut last year by gunmen.
