I Set Up Football Club To Discourage Youths From Crime, Says Soname

The club boss noted that the situation of owing salaries and allowances had continued to hamper the growth and progress of the indigenous league.
He posited that until the statues of LMC and rules of the games are followed in the country, the game would continue to be at the infancy stage compare to the foreign countries own.
Soname who also owns a football club in Portugal, FC CD Feirense gave assurance that management of his clubs would not at any time owe the players.
He further declared that any football club management found wanting by engaging in owing act should be sanction, as stipulated in the constitution,describing such management act as cheaters.
The soccer club founder,however,called on all the relevant authorities in the football industry to come and join hands in addressing the situation for the betterment of the country’s football.
He identified management as the one of the major problems hampering the growth of Nigerian sports, saying sports is the best strategy to reduce crime and criminality in the country.
On the elevation of Remo Stars Football Club, Soname ascribed the feat to hardwork,adding that the target of the Club was to maintain their league status at the end of the season.
He disclosed that the passion he has for the game was the reason why he went into the sport business and subsequently owning to football clubs.
Earlier in his welcome speech,Chairman of the State SWAN, Akeem Akintunde said the aim of the body was to use the forum to discuss the way forward for the dwindling sport sector of the country.
He therefore assured the Remo Stars boss of the body’s support in all their activities.
