However, despite this progress, Nigeria still faces numerous challenges that hinder its democratic progress. Corruption, insecurity, and economic instability are just a few of the issues that plague the nation.

These challenges undermine the effectiveness of democratic institutions and limit the government’s ability to deliver on its promises. For instance, corruption diverts resources meant for public goods and services, while insecurity hampers economic growth and development. Furthermore, promoting dialogue and reconciliation efforts can help resolve conflicts and grievances that fuel insecurity.
