Happening Now: Pro-Ndume protesters storm National Assembly, demand his recall

Some indigenes of Borno State on Tuesday laid siege at the entrance of the National Assembly in Abuja, demanding the immediate reinstatement of suspended former Senate Leader, Senator Ali Ndume.

Recall that the Upper Legislative Chambers had last week suspended Ndume for six months for raising false allegations against the Senate President, Bukola Saraki and Senator from Kogi West, Dino Melaye.

However, the protesters blocked the main entrance to the Assembly complex.

Some of the protesters have banners with Ndume’s picture and their demands.
