GTBank hoarding new Naira notes, customer alleges

A female account holder of the Guaranty Trust Bank has alleged that the staff of the Guaranty Trust Bank (GTB) are hoarding the new naira notes.

In a video made available to The Conclave, the woman said that she received a mail that she can withdraw money over the counter and went to the Broad Street branch of GTB the next morning to withdraw some money but to her greatest consternation she was told by a staff of the bank that the CBN had not supply them with the new notes as at the time she was in the bank.

Recall that the CBN gave a directive to commercial banks to pay the sum of N20,000 over the counter to their customers, as at the time of filing this report most of the banks are yet to comply with the directive.
