Governor Abiodun Condoles With Late Chief Deinde’s Family

Prince Dapo Abiodun, Ogun State Governor has paid condolence visit to the family of the former Chairman of the defunct Ifo local government, late Chief Nasirudeen Akanbi Deinde at his family house, Sango Ota.

Governor Abiodun, represented by his Deputy, Engr Noimot Salako-Oyedele, who led the state government delegation to the deceased house, described the late Deinde as someone who lived an exemplary life, whose teachings as a politician and a leader will never be forgotten.

Governor Abiodun said: “Chief Deinde, who was the first Chairman of Ado-Odo Ota local government, is an eminent son of great Awori land who served the state diligently and has left a wonderful legacy for us which we should all continue with. As a politician and a political leaders, it is always good to reference individuals like Chief Deinde.

“He is an eminent person who served honorably and came back home to give a good account of himself and I want us,  people in government to take this lesson by doing our best for the people.”

The governor said the late Deinde who was a pioneer member of Iganmode club, also rendered services to humanity, during his life time. 

However, son of the deceased, Dr. Wale Deinde, while welcoming the state government delegation to the family house noted that his late father left a very good name for them as children, hereby promised not to drag the name into the mud.

Moreover, the eldest son, Mr Yinka Deinde appreciated the state government for the condolence visit, also thanked the state government for identifying with the Deinde family, saying the family is highly honoured with the visit.
