Governor Abiodun Chief Press Secretary Faces Imminent Sack

This may not be the best of time for Ogun State Government as plans to remove Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Kunle Somorin has been revealed.

According to information gathered from an insider at the Government House, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta on Sunday revealed that the plans to ease out the CPS from Governor Dapo Abiodun led administration has been tabled, only waiting to be officially announced any moment from now.

The purported removal of the CPS was said to be unconnected to the last Friday whereby about sixty journalists across the Chapels walked out of media briefing with the governor at the Government House, Oke- Mosan, Abeokuta, after over four hours of endless waiting in vain for the event.

But, part of the reasons as being told by the source was his incessant selection of few journalists and sideline many others who were to do the coverage of all governments events across the state.

Similarly, he was alleged to have been incompetent in the handling of government activities and projecting the image of the government events to the general populace through the media in good light.

Furthermore, the source hinted that many other offences were mentioned, while the new chief press secretary from one of the government owned media outfits has already being penciled down to take over from him.
