Give Maximum Support To People With Disabilities- Osun Commissioner Pleads

As part of the efforts to move the State of Osun to greater heights, the Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Hon. Yemi Lawal has solicited maximum support for people with disabilities.
This was contained in a release by the Oluwabunmi Akindele, Press Officer, Ministry of Youth and Sports, and made available to Daily Dispatch on Thursday when the Joint National Association of Albino Foundation, State of Osun chapter paid a courtesy visit to the commissioner in his office.
The commissioner made the plea in his address, where he explained that financial constraints had been the main reason why the state has not been able to meet up with their demands.
The commissioner also enjoined the association to collate the data ofall their members in the state, so that government will have the required data base to address their needs.
He further reiterated that the administration of Governor AdegboyegaOyetola will not undermine the importance of the people with disabilities as he is ready to give them adequate support.
Hon. Lawal stressed that government will continue to empower them so that they will become employers of labour.
Also speaking, the Coordinating Director, Ministry of Youth and Sports, Mr. Diran Fasesin appreciated the association for finding time to visit the ministry.
Mr. Fasesin informed the association that the state government has not relented in its effort to make people with disabilities comfortable because they are equally very important personalities in the society.
Speaking earlier, the State Coordinator of Albino Foundation, Osun chapter, Mr. Nofiu Lukman used the occasion to appeal to the state government to assist in addressing the numerous challenges facing his members.
