Give Back To Your Alma Mater, “Your Present Start From There”- Emir Of Ilorin Urges IGS Old Students
The Emir Ilorin His Royal Highness Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari has urged old students of Ilorin Grammar School to give back to their Alma mater.
Alhaji Gambari gave the advice when old students of IGS paid him a courtesy visit in his palace as part of their arrangement for the forthcoming 50th anniversary of the school.
The Emir in his welcome address urged the old students to always remember their alma mater by giving back to it part of what they have, “because your present starts from the school”.
“I am so happy to see you coming together to give back to your root. This is a true reflection of unity among you. And I will urge you to keep it up and always remember to give back to the school part of what you have because your present starts from there”.
The Paramount ruler also enjoined the old students to help those coming behind, adding that they will come to replace them in the future.
He, however, prayed for the success of the programmes .
