FUNAAB Honours MAPOLY Rector For Excellence In Administrative Prowess

Rector of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY), Abeokuta, Dr. Samson Adeola Odedina has been honoured with the award of excellence in administrative prowess by the Department of Agricultural Administration (AGAD), Federal University of Agriculture (FUNAAB), Abeokuta, Ogun State.
Dr. Odedina, former Provost of Federal College of Agriculture (FECA), Akure was decorated with the award in recognition of his contribution to agricultural development in Nigeria during the 10th Anniversary of the department held at the Postgraduate hall, FUNAAB, his Alma Mata.

Other awardees were: FUNAAB Vice Chancellor, Prof. Felix Salako; Prof. Janice Olawole; Engr. Olanrewaju Bisiriyu, Ogun State Head of Service; Prof. Adetunji Oredipe, a World Bank Senior Agricultural Economist; Sen. Adegbenga Kaka, former deputy governor, and distinguished Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria amongst others were also honoured with different categories of awards at the even.

The keynote address at the anniversary themed “Unmasking the potentials of Agricultural Administration for Sustainable Development’ was delivered by Prof. Janice Olawole (rtd), first woman Dean, Faculty of Agriculture, from the Department of Agricultural Extension and Rural Development, University of Ibadan.
Similarly, a global employment manager and alumnus of FUNAAB, Mr. Ayo Muritala noted that with effective value chain development, strategic planning, performance measurement and management, agricultural administration and education, curricula will enjoy sustainable development for changing global challenges.
