Fuel Pump Price May Go For N165
The last may have not been heard about fuel increase, as there are clear indications that Federal Government is planning to increase fuel pump price to N165.
A high power Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation NNPC Training Consultant who prefer anonymity disclosed to Daily Dispatch that the Federal Government and organised labour union leaders are already have series of meetings to that effect.
According to our sources, the recent pockets of queues experienced within the nation’s capital were as a result of the planned increase, adding that the fuel is no longer available.
It was gathered that marketers are not making profit with the current pump price of N145. “for any marketer to make profit PMS must be sold for between N160 to N165 per litre”, he said.
Efforts to get officials of PPRA, NNPC for comments proved abortive as at the time of this report.
