Former Adamawa councillor killed, two sons abducted in attack on Governor Fintiri’s home community
A former councillor in Adamawa State, Hon. Thlama Sini, was killed and his two sons abducted following a late-night attack on Kirchinga community in Madagali Local Government Area on Monday.
The assailants, believed to be terrorists, invaded the community in a coordinated assault, targeting Sini’s residence. Local sources said the attackers whisked away the former councillor and his two children but later killed him while escaping with the boys.
Sini, who previously represented Kirchinga Ward, was a respected figure in the area. His death has triggered widespread fear and outrage among residents.
The attack is particularly troubling for the community, as Kirchinga is the hometown of Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri. Residents say the incident underscores the growing insecurity in the region and the increasing boldness of armed groups operating in the area.
Security operatives have reportedly launched a manhunt to track down the perpetrators and rescue the abducted children. Authorities have yet to issue an official statement on the incident.
