FIFA WWCQ: Tanzania will fall heavily-Falconets coach predicts

Ahead of the FIFA U-20 Women World Cup qualifying match against the Tanzania national U-20 women’s team, Nigeria Falconets coach, Christopher Danjuma has predicted massive goals margin against the visitors.

The match slated for Samuel Ogbemudia, Benin-City on Saturday is the first round of the Africa qualifying series for the Women World Cup proper next year.

Speaking to sports writers after the team training session at the stadium on Wednesday, Coach Danjuma stated that with the little he knows about their opponent, his girls would more score goals so that the return leg in Tanzania would be a formality.

He said: “By this level if you do not know anything about your opponent it will be suicidal, you will not come to shout that you do not know anything about them, but at least we know a little about the Tanzanians to be able to give us the victory and the necessary maximum points.

“By the grace of God, we will make Nigeria proud on Saturday at the Samuel Ogbemudia stadium by winning well, and with the atmosphere we see here in Benin, we hope to win well and convincingly. We want to win well so that going for the return leg will be a formality by scoring lots of goals on Saturday.”

Meanwhile, Edo State Deputy Governor, Comrade Philip Shaibu has admonished the team to beat their opponent convincingly with massive goals margin. “You are welcome to Edo State, I know that you are ready for action, and this is home of sports in Nigeria. We will mobilize fans to give absolute support and by the grace of God the team will win the match to represent the country well at the World Cup next year.

“So maintain that legacy of been the best in Africa. With what I am seeing today, Tanzania will receive lots of bullets on Saturday, and I hope you will not disappoint the country.”
